Ball park cost of a couple of repairs

Trying to decide whether to spend $ on repairing an old Toyota 4Runner to use at our cabin to drive around the property and use as a utility vehicle. It's never going to see pavement again. It's a 2002 with 297K miles but the body is in decent condition and the engine is still going strong. Here are the issues:

Break fluid leaking Brake line needs to be replaced, pressurized and fluid.

Power steering fluid leaking. Either the reservoir or the line, and I'm thinking (hoping) it's the line.

What's a fair price for fixing those two problems?

Thanks,

Jay

I had a power steering leak in my 4th gen and, luckily for me, the leak was in a soft line, not a hard line. It cost me $8 to fix myself with parts from the auto parts store. My brother, a car mechanic, told me the shop he used to work for would have charged me $400 (thieves). A fair price for my problem would be <$100 at a shop. A more serious power steering problem would of course be more expensive.

Based on your description of your 4Runner, if it was mine I would keep it.

P/S leak if low pressure line can be repaired with hose, hose connectors and clamps, for $30. If high pressure, depends on whose hose/tube assy. you buy, but possible $200. The brake line, depends where and how much needs to be replaced, but can't imagine more than $100, if you do yourself. Get a shop involved and x2 or 3 for these numbers. Either way, if truck runs good and otherwise good, repair it, you sure can't replace it for anything even close!
