Hello to all. I registered yesterday and the confirmation email was filtered by my email account as junk mail. Sorry for the emails guys, my fault. I have just sold my 02 Lexus IS 300 5 spd. for my 04 Sport Edition 4 Runner V8 4WD and had graphite aftermarket leather installed (looks fantastic, and seems to be a higher grade than what's in the Limited's). I just picked my new baby up on Feb 27th and I have gone easy on her through that perceived "break-in" period and I have begun to increase my speed on the highway and I have noticed an irritating cyclical noise and vibration that you can feel through the floorboard that starts around 70 miles per hour and increases in frequency until it stops around 83 MPH under a load. Take your foot off the gas and it goes away. I wanted to find out if others were having this similar issue and that's how I found this forum, which has been a wealth of info. I access the government's website,
www.nhtsa.dot.gov and I couldn't believe my eyes about the number of complaints regarding the 03 and 04 4-Runners. Anyway, Several people were having the same issues and I called my friend tha't a service tech for Lexus and there is a TSB called Steering Vibration and Driveline Vibration Drone (ST004-04) for the Lexus GX 470 03 and 04. However, there is not such a fix for the 4-Runner. It went in for service to identify the problem and on Feb 19, Toyota put out a TSB on the engine mounts. Service ordered the part and they believe this to be the fix. Anyone having the same issues or an idea of what the issues may be? Thanks.
