Need Help pleaseeeeeee!!!!!!!

i was driving down the highway and accelerating when i hit about 60 mph and the engine started sputtering and losing rpms. it finally just turned off and when i went to start it would start but it would idel very bad and just die. i tried different things to get it going again but the only that seemed to works is i added gas to it about two gallons and it started and ran fine. i stopped at a gas station and fill the tank up and ran fine so far. any suggestions. it idel bad before and shut off, but this is the first time it did it this bad. its a 99 v6 with 130k miles

Yeah.... water in the tank. Go buy a bottle of Seafoam at your local auto store, pour into the gas tank when you've got some room to fill up with some gas. You want to add this stuff at a fill up to mix it into the existing gas. There are several products that will do this "HEET, Chevron, STP, etc..." But Seafoam is my favorite. It will also help to clean up your injectors. Worst case scenario, you'll need a new fuel filter as well.
