high rpm engagement

hey guys, new to the forum, and have a question.

So my 1998 toyota 4runner was running great.. I changed the oil and put a new cd deck in it today and then noticed right after that it has a high rpm engagement into first. prolly 1500rpm. I dont know if it slipping or what, but it doesnt downshift when i let off the gas, nor does the overdrive button, 2nd, or low drive make the rpm from dumping.. its like it goes into a coast..... Could i have done something electrical putting the deck in ?

You might of left something off when you had the dash apart. Or if you had the battery off for a longtime the computer has to re-learn your driving habits. That's all I can think of.
