I agree. Do what others have told you.

Though Toyota might be trying their best, you've been rigless for 5 weeks. unacceptable.

NHTSA MUST be notified of this problem.

The lawyer part is up to you.

I have been refraining from replying...for the following reason; you continue to ask us what to do and I know myself and others have provided you with options. We cannot fix your problem and ultimately it is up to you on what you personally find acceptable. I don't mean to insult or offend or belittle...etc. I just mean to state you have to figure out for yourself how much BS you are willing to put up with. That being said:

Personally I would take comfort in knowing that the dealer has been able to reproduce the problem. That can be one of the most difficult things to do. Being able to reliably reproduce and issue at least makes certain they can retest for the problem. It also ensures that the problem has most likely been fixed when no longer reproducible. Now, I would still have them replace the wiring harness and everything else brake related. Another thing to consider if they haven't already is the VSC system. I am not sure how much of this is tied to which systems they have and have not replaced. But the computer senses when you are turning and decides if the vehicle is not going the direction you are pointing it, it attempts to brake the wheels and cut power to the engine. This system does use the brakes. Not necessarily the cause, but something to consider.

Now have you contacted Toyota Corporate? I mean they have had your rig for 5 weeks man!!!! Are you in love with your rental Camry or something? Really, if they did this to me I would ask that they make 1.25 months of car payments.

Also you really need to contact the NHTSA. These people need to be aware of the incident. I already provided a link in a past post. You can tell them what happened, what the dealer has done thus far and if it was fixed or not. Imagine if you don't file this complaint and someone else gets hurt because there is a similar problem. Seriously...CONTACT THEM!

Best of luck and keep us all updated to the final solution!
Schuyler

well speaking just for myself, I was not to concerned about your little arrogant whiny reports, however I was concerned about people on the road who you put in danger by not dealing with it as the safety issue it clearly is.

That said, you asked the forum who are a group of people who I happen to like for opinions and you got them To turn around and smack the members for giving you that advice (some of which was more than appropriate) and based upon a grave level of concern is simply chickensht. That said, I am glad that you were able to catch more flies with honey than vinegar. You might try that same tactic here on the members area unless you think that cyberspace is somewhat less deserving of your skills. It takes quite a bit to tick me off but you have.

Try buying a vehicle next time that fits your personality. Maybe something strong like a LOTUS> lots of trouble usually serious.

[COLOR=darkblue]Regardless of the banter about how to deal with the dealer, Toyota etc. thank-you for updating us with regard to the steering wheel position sensor. Hopefully nobody else will deal with the problem you had but maybe your reply will help somebody else should a similar problem arise.

I am very surprised that the bad signal didn

Cool

Ok guys, new to the forum. So new I can't even start a new thread 😏... But I'm looking for help on an ABS system on a 2003 Limited with 4.7. Is the ABS light, VSC, and TRAC lights supposed to come on when you initially turn on ignition switch?

Even when I unplug the connector on the brake controller that causes traction, VSC and ABS lights to come on, nothing happens

Since your lights don't come ON I would start a new thread when you are able.
