Shocks?

I have an 07 4Runner w/air suspension and x-reas shocks- 43,000 miles. Lately I've noticed my ride seems to be getting pretty "soft" with a lot of sway and a general feeling of less control. I've also noticed that it seems much easier to rock the truck back and forth. It also seems to be pretty easy to compress the rear suspension -- just stepping on the foot rail lightly can cause the rear suspension to move down an inch or so. The rear suspension does rest at normal ride height so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the air suspension, however (nothing seems to be sagging).

I've checked the shocks and connecting tubes and don't see any obvious signs of leaking.

So, my questions:

1) Has anyone had an issue with their x-reas shocks with this little mileage?

2) Has anyone with this setup noticed their suspension feeling a bit on the soft side?

3) Has anyone w/air suspension replaced their x-reas system with aftermarket shocks and how did that work out?

Thanks...

X-Reas Replacement

There was some member a while ago that lived in Hawaii that replaced his X-Reas at about 50K. I don't think he had the air suspension.

I have heard they have shocks that bolt right up to the factory brackets now.

One member used the online store "Shockwarehouse" and said they were very helpful. They do not list X-Reas on their site, you have to call them.

They are at -
http://www.shockwarehouse.com/

Most who have done this have said ride and handling improved a great deal.

I have an '05 with the X-Reas. Knowing what I do now - I would run the other way rather than buy a 4Runner with the X-REAS.
