Rear Wiper Weird!

Rear wiper used to have a slow and fast mode. Now it only goes fast even when set to slow. Is this a blown fuse or something else?

Rear Window Stuck!

Once or twice the rear window has not responded to the automatic window button up front when in the down position, but would work when operated by key in the hatch.

4LO!

Several times while in 2H, the 4LO light has come on in the dash, solid, no other noticeable effects. I then switch to 4H and the 4WD and center diff lights flash like normal but so does the 4LO and they don't stop flashing and it beeps like crazy, even if you stop, change to neutral, back up, etc. If I switch back to 2H, then the beeping and flashing stops except the 4LO light still stays on only now it flashes. I have to turn the truck off and back on to clear this. What the heck?

Stuff like this in the first two weeks, after a mechanic gave it a clean bill of health, makes me want to buy the warranty extension. Any advice or do I have to drive way down to the dealer (very inconvenient).

Not sure if this will give you some info or not on the 4LO light being on. I've had this happen to me as well.


4Lo light on

Same here. It's happened to me twice, but only while flooring it on an entrance ramp (same ramp both times).

Ever since I had Toyota look at it, it has not come back on. But I've also tried to stop speeding soooo much :runaway:. It has been about 2-3K since I've had them troubleshoot my truck.

Mine did the same thing once, freaked me out, cause I just got done wheeling, tried everything I could think of, turning the motor off, engaging in and out of 4LO, nothing, then I remember that on the 3rd Gens. sometimes pulling the EFI fuse did a few things, one of which was resetting the computuer, I thought what do I have to lose, its 9PM on a Sunday night, lol, I pulled the EFI fuse under the hood, left it out for about 5 minutes, its been fine since.

4Lo light comes on about 1 time in 15 when I am traveling in 2WD about 55-60 MPH and floor it to pass. Light is solid. If I slow down and switch to 4Hi, the light goes out. If I stop and shut off engine, light does not come back on.

I have 2008 4 Runner with about 70,000 mi.
