Hi!
Good luck with that seat! We've been there, and done that. Our seats turned and twisted around like a ride. Much worse on winding roads and breaking. Ours began about 3400 miles into it.
Our dealer replaced BOTH front seats. Now there is a bothersome poping sound coming from the lumbar bag. The poping sound started about 3000 miles AGAIN. Noted the most when taking off from a stop... Seat sags, and pop...
If you have the airbag seats, make sure that they tuck your seat cover in correctly. They will tell you that due to the seat covers and the airbags, they can't make the covers taught. For they may not deploy. Trust me, if they don't order the new covers, they will have to. They are now doing that now for us.
As for a safety issue, I totally agree. You may want to send a complaint to the NHTSA and line up with the rest of us. Once my selling dealer felt the play in the seat, he TOTALLY agreed that there was WAY to much play. However, the other dealers we showed it to said ... "Normal."
With the amount of technology these vehicles have, you'd think that the seat would be an item that would be monitored too.
Good luck! Let us know the outcome. Also see the seat rattle section of problems...
Thanks,
Craig-
PS...
New seat covers go on tomorrow. Have to have the seats checked again for the sagging & twisting problems.
As many others have discussed, now my Sunroof rails broke. 2-3 weeks for a fix.
"Oh what a feeling"
