I just started having the same symptoms and jiggling the shifter after rocking the car from reverse to park, etc. until it would shut off, I figured I had a bad switch somewhere in the shifter. It has been raining off and on for a week, and it rained buckets last night and my "fix" didn't do squat. This is the ONLY thread that I could find anywhere with this fix. I found exactly the same thing with my junction connector, cleaned the connector out and wire brushed the back after pulling the cover off, and now it is all good. It took about 15 minutes from start to finish to fix. I can only imagine how many thousands I would have spent on ignition switches, amps, shifters, steering columns, or who knows what with my "dunno what it is, will just keep guessing and replacing things until its fixed" dealer.
Black Rock Fab, if you are ever in KCMO, PM me and your bar tab and dinner is covered for a night of steak and drinkin! Without your post I am sure a month of steak dinners and bar tabs would have gone to the dealer
