My first post here...I've read all the threads on the subject of rattles... checked out all the points but found out my rattle is caused by the small plastic pieces on the inside of the hatch... two pieces actually, the plastic around the pull down strap and the other is the square cover for an access point. Short of keeping duct tape around it, did anyone else deal with this problem?

Yes, these have been identified as a common source of rattles. I also found some minor ones on the doors of the rear interior quarterpanels. Get a powerful enough stereo system and you will find ALL of the potential rattles in this vehicles.

Do a search and you can find what others have done about the two you are having problems with. I just used some small foam adhesive strips, just inside of them. This is not visible, but insulates it enough to keep it to and eliminate the rattles.

if you are sure you've isolated it to that exact area, i am not sure what is causing it. i had a passenger rear quarter panel rattle that started in my first month and it was the subwoofer in there that was either a little loose or rattled something loose. the first two times they blamed the rattle on the lift gate (after I told them i was hearing it over/near the rear passenger tire) and tried to fix it to no avail, and then finally a tech with a head on his shoulders did some more investigation and found the above problem. good luck.
