"After-market alarm" sold on BRAND NEW 4Runner?
So, I go into the stealership (up here in northern CA) because I'm having issues with my driver-side door locks, and alarm.
The door locks they can fix at no charge (extended service warranty). But the alarm system they claim is "after-market"...despite the fact that it was ALREADY INSTALLED when I bought it NEW at the stealership in 2007 (Power Toyota in Irvine, CA)...so the local stealership can't fix the alarm.
WTF?!! That was my whole point in opting to keep the alarm system installed when I bought, because I figured it was a stock alarm and wouldn't give me the troubles of an after-market alarm.
Did I get screwed (i.e., lied to) by the stealership that sold me the 4R? Is my local stealership BS'ing me? Arrrrrrrgh. At least my baby still runs great and without a hitch *knocking on wood* ...
