Unhappy New battery problems?

I have a 95 4wd limited and i just recently replaced a dead battery and now my alarm does not work along with the remote

also i was wondering if there are any ways to increase my gas mileage since i travel around 200 miles a week

also there is a red light that is constantly on in my car( to the left of my steering wheel) i was wondering if this is normally supposed to be on all the time or not

That red light that is on all the time is probably your alarm. Is it and aftermarket or OEM? If it's aftermarket it's in valet mode and it will not chirp when you lock or unlock your doors with the remote. Also if it's aftermarket you will probably need to reprogram the remote.
