Any Off road trips that a 2WD could attend?

I know the Pismo thing is coming and they say 2wd is okay, but no thanks not for me. I wish it wasn't so dang hot, I liked that trip out to Anza Borrego...

Pretty much all the trips listed in my sig. have been 2WD possible. Sure it might have included some getting stuck and needing a pull out but that happens to pretty much any truck that goes off-roading, regardless of 2WD or 4WD. We all get stuck at some stage.

If you ask people who are arranging a trip, they will usually advise you if 2WD is cool or not.

So in short...SURE.

Our trip to Pismo last weekend was cool (temp.) and there were two trucks with 2WD. They did really well. In the dunes it's more about tire inflation and momentum.

I think there might be a trip to Anza Borrego before the end of the year. Keep ya eyes on the regional forum for details. You should check out Big Bear. There's lots of trails there that are 2WD.

Also might be worth noting that not many T4R members in SoCal seem to wheel trails. You may need to checkout other forums if you want to offroad in the near future.

I know of one run to Big Bear next weekend as an example

San Diego crew- Big Bear Aug 12-14?

If you want links to other forums pm me.

Cheers
Mark

that big bear trip happening on aug 12-14 will not be 2wd friendly unfortunately. also it's a ttora event and will have espn2 there as well. it'll make it for one fun filled weekend for those that go.

there are plently of places a 2wd vehicle can go as you shouldn't let the 2wd stop ya from wheeling

hungry valley
big bear
anza borrego
pismo

to name a few that have trails that are 2wd friendly. I've done all of the trails w/ others that were only 2wd.

bring a 4wd friend and you're set. definitely the way to go to see how far you can actually go. it's actually pretty enjoyable to see that too since you'd be pretty surprised how far you can really go.

good luck!

expect to see more runs in the fall/winter time when it's much cooler btw.
