Camping and wheeling!
My sons and I will be camping out August 12th, 13th, and 14th in Green Valley Campground. We'll be hitting the trails in the area once again! All Socal members are welcome to join us. There are plenty of spots available. Only $20 a nite. Or just come up for the day.

I will most likely be in bud. I'm still recovering from this last trip. I'm sun burned pretty good. The Deep Creek is low right now. I hit up Devils Hole and it was only waist deep along with the hot springs also. I fished that area also and nothing at all. Hope I have better luck the next time around.

no, I don't think we ever met...
Though, I recently went on a camping trip to Monache Meadow's and heard that a Bryan Blue something was coming.. Was wondering if that was you?

It was me but I got a major wrench thrown in my plans so I could not go at the last minute. My truck was packed and ready to roll but then.... So what ever. I was really disappointed. How was the trip anyhow. I looked at the video you guys put together. Looked like a great time. How much water was up there? Any good fishing?

Best camping trip I ever been on, even though I only knew David, his crew was very cool.. Food, company, scenery, everything was just amazing.
Water levels were OK, the guys said it was higher last year with more fish to be caught. Fishing with a pol didn't bring in anything, though there was a kid with a fishing net on a stick and he caught like 5 or so.
Really sucks that you couldn't go, hope everything worked out with whatever happened.

Green Valley is a reserve campground. There are a few 'non-reserve' spaces. Heres a few pics from earlier trips...

Hey Keemo! Good hearing from u. Hows the family? Fine I hope. I was in Incline Village last August. Lake Tahoe is stunningly beautiful! Sad to hear u wont be able to make it. Our sons could've hung out again. Oh well, next time. All the best to u and ur family!
P.S. Say hello to Danny!

It was a great time. Nice and quiet and very relaxing. The other guys did a 4 hour wheeling trip to the back side of the desert from the camp area. From the footage it was pretty nasty but the little 1st Gen did well and made it even with no lockers. Some great driving by Paul. The fishing was better at other lakes but it goes that way some times(hit my daily limit on Trout in an hour ).
I will come back to this camp ground again. Paul and his son will be back tomorrow.

It was fantastic! Weather was perfect. Ran the White Mtn. trail(west to east) the tough way with Danny Cruz and his awesome Land Cruiser. Wouldn't have tried it without him! He's running 35" KM2s, ARBs, and a 15,000lb. Warn winch and he will tell u it was TOUGH! Pics don't do it justice as to how steep and long and rocky the climbs were. We didn't dare attempt Suicide Hill. Took the bypass which was no joke either! I really need a locker... but somehow made it. Camping at Green Valley was sublime as usual. Found some great unmarked trails east of the campground. Mostly easy with a few radical sections here n there. One led to the top of the ridge where u could see LakeArrowhead AND BigBearLake! Spectacular!!! Heres a few pics...
