I can't find reservations for "Seven Oaks" is that a no reserve camp ground? Any information would be helpful, planning to go the weekend of June 5th.
Cheers!

To my understanding, Seven Oaks is an area of cabins. The actual improved campgrounds are named "South Fork" and "San Gorgonio". The USFS ranger station that covers that area is called Mill Creek, 909-382-2882.
Post up if you are going to be around. Wife and I go for Sunday drives to that area to hang at the creek.

San Gorgonio campground is a walk to the water or a 15 minute drive to better spots. It's enough water flow that the Dept. of Fish and Game stocks it. That's the Seven Oaks area. There is a stream that runs through the upper section of South Fork, but it's SoCal, it's not a lot of water.
If you are looking for a nice big stream next your tent and 4Runner, North of Tehachapi in the Southern Sierra is the closest real thing that I know of. South Fork is your choice if the goal is to camp by some water. If you are willing to drive away from your campsite, either of these are within 10 to 15 minutes of graded dirt road and a spot to park and spend the day next to a real stream, but not overnight.

Kern River has lots of places to camp along the River. Mid summer to end of summer is perfect if you want to get in the water. On holiday weekends it's a bit overcrowded, which is unfortunately when I usually go. Up near McNally's is a great jumping off point for other adventures.
Peppermint Falls and The Trail of 100 giants are about an hour North. Kennedy Meadows is about 40 miles E up Sherman pass. There's also the trail to Packsaddle Cave somewhere around McNally's.
Fishing is good when they stock the river. Laughably good, actually but not very challenging. Some of the tributaries can be fished as well for Rainbows and Browns.

I did end up going to 7 oaks and it was perfect and it's not that far!!!
Does anyone have a copy of the campsites to upload? I can't find a recent one, the only one on the internet is outdated.

Did you really just respond back after almost two years of your original post letting us know you stayed at 7 oaks and then ask for an updated version of that area, almost 2yrs still can't find one? Lol

Glad it worked out for you.
Props for posting back. I love it when people follow-up on threads instead of leaving them hanging.

Good to hear. I'm taking the family, and some friends up there a couple weekends from now. We're gonna fish and maybe hike. Any recommendations?
How's the store and restaurant?

Store is great, the land is privately owned and the people are nice, stuck in the 70s/80s ... Steve is the main guy there and he's super cool.
Recommendation is try to stay away from camping right by the bridge if you have kids, they can make it across and into the shrubs in less than a minute. I saw it happen lol.
Here's a pic of the map if you are interested.
There is a hike right by the camp ground, it's beautiful and long. You have to pick a spot to turn around.
View from the hike
Creek with camp sites to the left
Speak up if you want more pics

Looks awesome, definitely post some more pics if you don't mind. I love the hand drawn map lol thanks for posting it. It'll help me make the reservation. How are the restrooms there?

@ Piggy14
There is one bathroom for men and one for women, it's not bad, it's just not super close.
Here's more photos
View from the tent
Getting firewood, there's a ton of wood on that hike
Cooling off after the hike
Grill
Fish in the creek
