Last-Minute Trip to Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead 4/6
My cousin and I just randomly have tomorrow off and decided to go for a little trail run. Any suggestions on trails around Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead? It'll be our first time wheeling out there so nothing too crazy.
We're not too new to wheeling but just new to that area. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
If anyone's off tomorrow, feel free to join us!

I've heard of gold mountain, but not the others. From what I've heard gold mound is one of the harder trails up here. Never done it though

Dishpan Springs(3N34)is a lot of fun. Especially if u start out in Arrowhead. Ran it last summer.

Gold mountain you'd probably enjoy. A few technical areas and you'll get to use your sliders and skids a bit. Great views. I recently ran it in my just sold 4x4 prerunner Tacoma. I don't think il run it again in my new 4Runner. Just out of the level I want to do with it.

2 of us are headed up. Still debating on which trail. Might take it easy since it'll be our first time in that area. There's a chance we might take a scenic drive through 3N16.

Yes there are a couple 'intense' sections... The Waterfall(aka the Devil's Slide)can induce a bit of pucker.
Pictures don't do justice to how steep this is.

Ended up not going to Big Bear. We figured it would be better if more of our group was available. Planned on Miller Jeep Trail in Frazier Park but that was closed. Ended up doing Vic's Cat Trail and a few other ones over at Gorman.
