North County San Diego Off-road Groups/Clubs??
Hello all, just picked up my Off-road premium last week, and wanted to see if there are any groups or clubs in the North County SD area that do meet and greets on a regular basis?
Came to the dark side from 4 jeeps, with my last build being an XJ. Was part of SoCalXJ prior to "flopping" my Rig.
Would appreciate any insight.
Thank You,
Burtz

Between T4R.org and TW, there are meet ups every now and then at a San Diego brewery or Fiesta Island if you just wanted to talk shop and shoot the shit.
Link for T4R.org meets http://www.toyota-4runner.org/so-cal...et-thread.html
Link for TW meets https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/...-meets.314874/
If you want to hit up some trails, the SoCal section plans runs almost monthly. There are always people throwing out invites for company on smaller last minute outings, but for the most part North County doesn't really have its own crew that does its own thing. Probably because you have to travel 1.5-2 hours to get into the better trails from N. County.

Man what a bummer.... with how many 5th gens and all the various PROs I've seen around Carlsbad and Oceanside, I thought forsure there would be a local crew that gathers at one of our countless breweries on a regular monthly or bi-monthly.
Thanks for the heads up Dezert.. maybe I can get some of these fools to unite. Lol

Hey I know all the San Diego guys on TW meet every thursday at a brewery that Uplifted and Ecracer are always talking about..maybe you can help with some info?
But also to the OP if you wanna meet a majority of SoCal Toyota guys from here. And TW and FJ Cruiser guys along with Tundra guys from Socal too get more involved well in 30 days will be your best opportunity ...Check it
Toyota Trail Rehab Days - Southern California TOYOTA Off-Road Fest Barstow, CA
And here is the thread from here in the Socal section
So Cal - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
Oh and good job on making a change In the right direction, you've seen the light to a better wheeling life...congrats on the new rig and welcome to the Socal section.
Just fyi I hope you have thick skin cause around here we talk a lot of shiiit ...but were all friends and help one another in a heart beat regardless of what it maybe so shiiit talkin comes along with that...But we stay pretty active on here with trail runs and meets and what not but as far just meeting up somewhere to shoot the shiiit not to much really we save that for the trails on our comms!!! HAHA it gets really thick then!! But not to fear its not to often you here of a "flopped" 4runner ....haha sorry it took that for you to see the light but the force works in weird ways.
Welcome
Miah
Now you can go F yourself!! And hope to see you in Calico.
(That's with a smile)

I'm not on Facebook or Instagram and it seems like half of the local runs in SoCal are organized there within their own online groups, so I guess I'm really only speaking to what I see on T4R mostly

There's a few threads on tw for the area. I'll have to link when I get in front of a computer. Mike and Madison (Eccracer and yotagurliam from tw) do weekly booze meets every Thursday. Mostly in North county and Vista. That's probably gonna be your best bet for meeting the regulars. Two main groups that are happening are the tw group going up the mountain and the t4r group going to calico at the end of September.

Thanks for all the info. And no need to worry on not having thick skin, I'm used to getting shi*t on by all the guys over @ pirate4x4.com, God forbid I don't know everything.

Weekly booze meets? That is commitment, my old XJ group would meet the first Tuesday of every week @ Lampost in Vista, but I'm game.
When you say, "going up the mountain," what are you referring to? Big Bear, Arrowhead, Silverwood Lake, Idyllwild ?

Awesome! I'm in Oside as well. Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm always down to turn a wrench and drink beer.
As far as mods go, I'm gonna keep this build tame for the next year, as I have to do 300 miles/week in commuting. It will give me time to learn what this new platform can do tho, since I'm used to Jeeps.
Already threw in 5100's up front @ 0.85. Putting the rear 5100's in later this week with OME 10mm trim packers, to maintain the rake.
Picking up my sliders from White Knuckle at the end of this month, as I used to live up in Apple Valley and wanted to support local business.
Full RCI skids are next, and Gobi is on order. Trying to be practical with this build, for as long as I can resist.

Practical went out the door as soon as you decided on a 4Runner and made a wrong turn that got you here on T4R of SoCal. Where "practical" is non existent closes thing to "practical" around here is were all now "practically broke"!!
The only way to "resist" is to stay the hell off of T4R!!

I see a lot of T4R's around O'side. I have a simple nautical blue one with a front runner rack. I'd tell you to honk but when it happened I'd probably not figure out who was honking..

What’s up guys. I’m in Oside too.
We should have a north county meet up and run some trails! I’ve been hitting big bear pretty regularly if you guys ever want to meet up there.
