Greetings -- I'm based in Woodland Hills so not super far out -- 14th is about 50/50 for me but if I miss this one I'll make the next!
How serious are the trails at Rowher? I'm not super experienced, just picked up a Trail Premium (2015), but still stock tires and such.

It depends on what part of the trail you take. Lots of different paths at Rowher, so it's actually a decent trail for a beginner because we can start off easy and get progressively harder. Plus, a few of us have been thru before so you will have plenty of spotters to help out.

Air Compressor, tire gauge, some recovery straps maybe. If you are going with us, there will be plenty of gear. Safety in numbers, I suppose. Most important thing is to watch the guy ahead of you and watch your speed

Check in for 7.14 at Rowher Flats
Ok, so this is the plan at this point: meet up around 10:30am, at Jimmy Dean's on 22941 Lyons Ave, Newhall, CA 91321. Grab a bite to eat, they have killer breakfast. From there, head out to the flats and get dirty. I recommend bringing a radio, I have gmrs and ham. I like to take my time thru the flats, so I pack a cooler with snacks and beverages. We can decide when everyone shows up which way to go.
So, check in quoting this and I will add you to the roster.
Should be a fun day

I can't commit yet.
My two month old very expensive new Air conditioning system has crapped out in the last two days with the high temps. The company has sent out two tecs but I get the critical error again as soon as they leave. Of course everything is working while they are here. Restarting the system gets it working again but this should not happen with a new AC no matter how hot it gets.
Hopefully they will have a fix before next weekend.

Right on. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Everyone's ac was unhappy this week. And I'm still trying to get mine replaced after the heat wave last labor day.

This past weekend made me not want to even think about being outside. Temps looks to be headed back to normal. Count me confirmed. Will have my mobile 2m/70cm and would love to test it out.
