I took today ( Friday 10 MAY 19) off. I might run up to the reservoir and get her dirty.

heading out to Santa Clarita for a Father's Day BBQ on Sunday and gonna take the new ride up to Hungry Valley in the morning before to stretch out the 4WD with wifey for the 1st time if anyone wants to join. will stick to the easy stuff, no air downs, tight/technical, etc... to get us both acclimated (this thing feels like a tank compared to my 3rd Gen) but if anyone will be around let me know. i think we're shooting to get out there around when the gate opens @7:00 but that's flexible.

I may be out at Hungry Valley too. Also running a ORP w/ KDSS. Which trails you looking at checking out?

nice, though ours isn't a premium, just a plain old OR . not sure what trails to be honest, i think the last time i was there was probably close to 15-20 years ago so i don't remember much. my plan was just to stick to green circles on the map and introduce my wife to the various driving modes, maybe check out the practice area, etc. we just picked it up Sunday so bone stock, no sliders, skids, tires, etc...

You'll be fine stock! We took a 4x4 class out there a week after getting the car and it did just fine (ok maybe scratched the skids here and there but we knew it would). Practice area is nice! I wouldn't mind going there to try some new things in the morning!

good deal, well we can plan on meeting up if you want and you don't mind hanging with some folks that are getting to know their new truck.

after giving it some more thought, 7:00 might actually be too aggressive for us since it'll take about an hour and a half to get there, but we could probably do 8:00. also we'd probably want to leave by 1:30-2:00 at the latest so we can make it to my folks in time for Father's Day stuff.

Let’s do a Gold Mountain run. I’m dying to get some dents on my skids and gouges on the sliders or some MJT.

Just reporting back but Socalkid and his wife joined us at Hungry Valley for a great day of breaking in the new car! We did over 20 miles on various trails in the Valley. Some parts did get sketchy (sorry but the map said it wasn't haha) but all went well!

If anyone ever wants to check out Hungry Valley of the areas around it, hit us up!
