I’m thinking of heading out to the desert this Saturday or Sunday, probably to head up Fish Creek Wash to Sandstone Canyon. I’m in a stock 4Runner, so probably won’t go all the way up Sandstone Canyon (but would happily park mine and walk or ride along with someone who wanted to go the whole way).
Anyone interested?

Reason: Have settled on the date of 11/25
Oh, and I called the ABDSP ranger station and they said that they only had trace rain Wednesday night, and have no warnings for the area (no other recent rain to cause mud)
I'm open for Sunday if that still works. Just name the time.
Sunday should work... I was supposed to dive on Sunday, but it doesn’t look like Mother Nature thinks I should, so I can make Sunday work for the desert...

Awesome, let me know a time and place to meet.

If it's just us,
@jimmynotjim
, I think I'd rather come in by Split Mountain Road than by Vallecito Wash off S2. If we had some folks with us who have done that route and Diablo Drop Off, then I might consider it.
So unless something changes, let's meet at Split Mountain Road and Fish Creek Wash. Is 10 AM too late? I think some of my family might come & they're harder to get up and out early. We could pack in a lunch and stop at some point...
Looks like we're in the exact same vehicle: 2018 TRDORP in white.

Anybody else coming?
Diablo is nothing even for a stock rig. You’d be very very close to sandstone entering on that side. But the whole area is beautiful so you can’t go wrong either way.

Trying to convince my family to join as well. We'll see.
Edit: Yep, I think you've got great taste in trucks too.

we made it through Waypoint 4, and walked it out to past Waypoint 6. Both our vehicles are stock, so we went out there knowing we wouldn't get past Waypoint 6... but the current conditions on Waypoint 5 aren't good for stock vehicles either. So we turned back between Waypoint 4 and 5. With some real time spent with shovels, filling in areas, and maybe some MaxTrax a stock vehicle might make Waypoint 5 without damage... but not as is.
