Easy to explore in Big Bear

I知 heading up to big bear this Sunday with some family. I wanted to explore a little bit of big bear I知 looking for a trail that will offer some nice scenery and is not full of Prius and Subaru drivers. Anybody got any suggestions?

I'd recommend Wildhorse Meadows Road. It starts off the 38 near Sugarloaf. It's an easy trail that starts and ends on the 38 and has some spectacular views. The only problem is that you're very likely to encounter snow this weekend so a lot of trails may be closed.

Here are some maps. Suggest calling Ranger Station before heading out or checking around online about trail and road conditions:
https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/sbnf...a/?recid=74095

And if you can find the original (not a thumbnail) of this map it was always useful. Can't seem the find the main link atm.

Maybe try saving that image as a file and then opening on desktop and zooming in, or doing a more in depth Google search than I did. You might be able to turn it up.
