Tips on doing Old Dale Road?

Hi guys,
Any tips on doing Dale Road? I'm thinking of going in February sometime. Looks like I can get there from the southern entrance just north of Cottonwood. I'm very familiar with JT and surrounding, but only in a car on on the blacktop.

Looks like Old Dale road just cuts through and goes toward 29Palms Hwy.

Is this doable like during 1 day trip? I have a lift and 285's and considering an easy route to try out.

Just drive it, you're fine. Keep an eye on some of the switch backs for vehicles coming up or down since there's not too many places you can pass safely. I was just out there in November and it's a little rutted out, but otherwise you can do it in 2wd.

Budget about 4 hours? Or a little more? I'm not super experienced so I'll probably drive slow.

No more than 2 hours with a stop at the cabin at the top.

wow it's that quick! Thanks. Sounds like a nice day trip ending at 29Palms and the town of JT up the road.

Thanks again!
