Sierra Camping
Hey Y'all. I'm planning on a camping trip up to Monache Meadows, tentatively June 5-7 or 12-14. I will be going through Kennedy Meadows, through to Monache (Joe's Camp). Anyone is more than welcome to tag along. Had a buddy report back, that the Kennedy Meadows Campground was FULL (Memorial Day Weekend) and Grumpy Bear's along with the General Store was busy).

Was up at Coyote on the Friday before memorial day and we pretty much had it to ourselves. May be the same for you since you're going up on a Friday. May see you up there! May go further north to mammoth too

Went to Monache last weekend. First time so I dont know what the crowds are usually like, but there was a ton of people up there. All the campsites at the end of Monache jeep trail were taken as well as most of the dispersed sites.

Sierra Camping UPDATE
Hello everybody. I have been going up to the Sierra since I was a kid. I have never seen so any people in Kennedy Meadows area! ALL campsites are full at Kennedy Meadows Campground, Fish Creek Campgrounds, and Fish Creek Overflow. Troy Meadows Campgrounds, Troy Meadows Overflow and Blackrock Ranger Station, are CLOSED. All water at said campgrounds are still turned off, so water is unavailable, as of last weekend. I saw a nice T4R group headed to Monache, but unfortunately, the little lady didn't wanna camp in the high country. Grumpy Bear's and the country store were open and busy. I would recommend bringing water with you. Again, EVERY campsite at Kennedy Meadows and Fish Creek, were occupied. Hope this sees all of you well! I will be headed up again, 26-28 JUN 2020. Let me know if anyone wants to join me.

I haven't ever checked out this place but it looks to be a great location. I'm adding it to my list for a future trip.

monache meadows has been blown over the last 4-5 years. Overrun with idiots in 5th gens and rubicons with thousands of dollars worth of shit bolted to their truck and another couple grand in cooking supplies. Don’t bother.
