I'm having a problem with this site now

I strongly believe it's my IE settings or something with my computer.

Problem:
On my home PC, when I click on New Posts button or the hyperlink it never comes back with new posts. I try this on other PC's and it does come back with New Posts.

I tried removing the cookie, and that didn't do it. I tried this one setting about checking for new versions of the page and I thought that did it, but the problem has appeared to come back.

Then I thought, maybe there isn't any new posts: but I checked the time and date on some of the last posts and they are pretty close to the time I am troubleshooting so that theory is out the door. Besides I am here a lot for work is really slow and I really like it here and I see how much people do post.

Any ideas?

With Internet Explorer, I've had several instances where resetting the Internet options to the defaults clears up weird problems. Not a guaranteed fix, but something you could try.

Click Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Restore Defaults. You may need to shut down and restart IE to make sure it takes affect.

I'm having the same problem at home with IE6 and WinXP...No "new posts" icons, have to rely on timestamps.

At work (IE6, Win98SE), it works fine...

I tried logging out, then back in, and clearing cookies. No dice. IE security options are the same on both home and work machines. Oh, well.

I have been trying to log in all night. When I signed in and tried to post, it would log me out. I finally went to settings, it kept logging me out, but finally I changed my setting to log in automatically and that seem to work.

I couldn't even send a private message to Thai. It was getting fustrating. So, something has changed to make it harder. I have been logging in for about a year and this is the first time it happened.

Hey all,

I seemed to have a similar problem yesterday after Gatorgreg put in that "new posts" button on the upper right hand corner. I could not get any new posts when i hit the button.

I am not sure what happened...but this site is now back to normal on my computer today.

I will ask Gatorgreg.

Sorry about that....
Thai.

NP Thai, problems are to be expected. This morning it seemed that it still does not work, however I just deleted all my temporary files and then did a search for new posts again and it game back with two hits. I will monitor it for today and tomorrow and post my results.

The "new posts" button I added last week as well as the old "View New Posts" underlined link are working fine for me this morning

Deleting Temporary Files Fixed It

Not sure why, but deleting my temporary files fixed me. But that does not explain why others was experiencing it too.
