How do we disable the Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest link buttons inside pics?

How do we disable the Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest link buttons in the middle of pictures.

At first, I thought it might be a cool way to quick link your content. But, I would like to just look at pictures that members post without seeing these buttons in the middle of the pic.

Yeah it's awful when the link icons block the subject of the photo. Really ruins all the picture threads.

I am sure that there is a way to disable this feature, but I don't know what it is. Some of the time, if the cursor is off the pic long enough, it goes away. But other times, even if you are scrolling, it will keep those annoying buttons right in the middle of the picture. Not even in the bottom corner, off the pic, but right in the middle. This is even more annoying if you are on your phone as it is even larger.
