There is a 3rd gen with what looks like the Gobi roof rack and ladder that lives near Wal-Mart on Unser and Southern. Anyone know if they are on here?
It's black in color and is lifted.

Is there an app for this forum or are you just using a browser?

I see the truck all the time because my friend lives houses up from him. Looks very well done from what I can tell. Just wanted to see if he wanted to go get some scratches with us.

Just the browser. There is an app called Tapatalk that is made for forum browsing, but it sucks IMO..

Here is a pic of Miller's Truck when it still belonged to miller. I have sent a ton of PM's to the guy on here that bought it, but he never got on the forums after he bought the truck. I still have not seen it in person..

Bummer man. I've got a set of wheels, but NachoPitt has dibs on them if I decide to sell. Hope you get it back on the road soon.

NOW is the time to start prepping and planning.. Just food for though.

Everyone is welcome, from stock to awesome. There are trails for everyone! Many of the tacomas going are stock too, so you will have some people to hang out with! Besides us NM guys of course.

Heads up all NM 4Runner owners....

There's a set of 80 Series Land Cruiser Wheels on Craigslist!!!

$150.. check it:

Toyota Land Cruiser Wheels 16"

I went and checked them out this afternoon for my wife's 4Runner. They are the 93-94 model wheels that use the tapered lug seat. These will require a new set of lugnuts when installed on 3rd gen 4Runners... the other gens I'm not sure.

The wheels are a little rough from road salt, and are dirty, but have no major gouges or pitting, and they are straight. The seller has 3 center caps, but does not have the lugnuts that go with the wheels.

The only reason I passed on them is because I don't feel like re-finishing another set, and my wife wasn't crazy enough about them for me to go to all the trouble. For someone who wants a tough set of wheels, and doesn't care about pretty, you could wire wheel these and spray can them in an afternoon.

Just thought I'd share.

Just to let you guys know someone stole my winch, but I did leave it on 25 for 2 days.

Also where would you guys get tires from round here. I don't want to pay for shipping. I'm looking at General Grabbers or Goodyear DuraTrac. Leaning towards the DuraTracs. What do you guys think?

I get my tires from Discount Tire. They have stores all over Albuquerque and are really good about Fixing flats, balancing..etc..

I really like my Duratracs... would definitely recommend them.

As far as where to buy, I have always used Discount Tire, but it seems like the quality of their work is in steady decline. They always manage to screw something up when I take my vehicles over there.

Some examples:

The last time I went to Discount they bent up my skidplate by placing the jack underneath and lifting from the skidplate in an un-braced location... before that they chipped my freshly painted wheels all to hell, before that they chewed up my new wheels trying to use the wrong lugnuts.

If you go to Discount, go out in the bay while they are working on your truck and WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK. That's the only way you can be sure they do it right.

I've been using Albuquerque Tire on Menaul for my wheel alignments for over 10 years, and I've started giving them my tire business now that Discount has become a bunch of screw ups.

Sadly i ordered 285/75-16's Duratracs, sent my wife over when Discount called and said the tires came in. I was out of town with work and she was trying to be a good wife and save me some time.

I warned her of rubbing since my lift hadnt come in yet, she said it wasnt rubbing at all. I told her to stop and check the sizes, 265/75-16's, but the invoice was 285's which is what we paid for. I called the manager and she turned around and went back and got the correct tires installed.

So ya, i agree on their service declining.
