New Mexico 4Runner Owners Thread
Since the social group feature is so unreliable and useless, I figured a good old fashioned thread would be the best way for us NM guys to stay connected.
For those that don't know, the Social groups feature on this website does not auto subscribe you to discussions.. even if you post in a thread in the group! Because of this, a lot of NM members are not able to keep connected becuase they are not notified of new discussions or replies to current ones. I PM'd Mods and they seem to not care..
So, lets talk NM!!

Hey Jim, Replying to your message. I'm in Afghanistan right now, but when I get home and do some needed repairs to my 4runner. I'd like to hit some local trails.
Take Care.

Got your PM Rip... I'm here, and in following your lead, I say let's get some runs together this summer and get a group of 4Runners out on the trails!
Just for everyone's info, I found this link a while back and it's got some good info on alot of trails in NM.... w/GPS coords & maps.
Trails: NM
Also, I think this one would be cool to check out: Johnson Hill
Also, some good local trail info here: CAPTAIN SWOOP'S NEW MEXICO 4x4 TRAIL LIBRARY: Albuquerque Area Trails
I've been checking out a few of them... like Cedro Peak
And La Bajada....
Caja Del Rio...
And Diablo Canyon...

Also, NM owners, please subscribe to the thread so you get email updates when something is going on.
I'm SUBSCRIBED!
BTW, Rip, what's the status of the Moab trip you were talking about?

This is going to sound stupid but how do I subscribe to threads?
Never mind I figured it out.

As long as you have it set in your options, it should auto subscribe you when you post in a thread.
The Groups are the only part of this website that do not auto subscribe, which is why they are dumb.

MOAB: May 16-20, 2012.
Ok guys. So as I mentioned before, we have a fairly large TacomaWorld chapter here in NM. They will be attending the MASSIVE Tacomaworld meet in moab this may.
I will be joining them, and I encourage all of you do to the same. If its fits in the schedule of course. So far, 7 trucks from ABQ/Santa Fe will be going. We will be meeting up with some AZ and CO guys on the way and make a big convoy.
A little info on the Whole TW meet:
Approximately 100 tacomas are scheduled to go, along with many other 4runners and FJs and a few jeeps. I know a few of the Norcal T4R guys will be going too.
We will be leaving Wednesday morning (the 16th) and returning on the 20th.
Main TW MOAB thread: Tacoma Moab Meet 2012!!!! - Tacoma World Forums
NM/AZ/CO TW MOAB thread:
NM/AZ/CO MOAB Travel Plans - Tacoma World Forums
For anyone interested, either sign up and post in the NM/AZ thread or message me and I will relay the info.

Hey all so who is going to be heading to the 2012 MOAB meet. A lot of the NM guys are tentatively planning on leaving on Wed before the meet and were hoping to meet up with some of the AZ and CO guys somewhere along the way.
Let me know what you all think in here and we can start to plan it out.
Here is the link for the OP for the MOAB thread
Discussion Topics - Tacoma World Forums
Some other useful links:
Discussion Topics - Tacoma World Forums

The AZ guys:
-mr.meier (Mike)
So for the NM guys if you all want to meet at the Home Depot in Bernaillio Wednesday morning and head out from there. I was thinking it would be quicker to take 550 to 491 up into Colorado and Utah and then onto the 191 into Moab. Let me know what you all think.

Hey Fish, have you ever been through those caves located just inside that canyon from where you took those diablo pictures?

I have not. That was my first time to Diablo Canyon, I was running short on daylight, and I wanted to check out the Rio Grande @ the end of Buckman Road so I didn't go very far into the canyon.
I'll be back though. I should have some skids that are worthy of going through the canyon here shortly.
