I should be in as well. The oldest kiddo wants to bring his girlfriend along, but she's way the hell out in Maricopa... So we'll have to get her and then run back to the 87, hit Florence and then take the 79 back to the 60. Whew! I'll probably be exhausted before we even start! :-) Here's to burning a complete tank of gas in one day!

Broken Arrow is fun. I would not call it difficult, but it's got some intense spots. Not real long. It's a big Pink Jeep Tour route. Views are awesome. Did it in my stock FJ in March.

I've run it in my stock 2014 SR5. It's a very fun trail and is not too difficult. There are areas that can and will challenge your approach and departure angles, but there are also bypasses to those areas, so it's not mandatory. I know my trailer hitch got an outstanding workout the last time I was there...
If you choose to do Devils Staircase, you might bottom out a bit, though you made it just fine through the waterfall last week, so it maybe it won't be an issue. Either way, it's definitely one to do at some point.

what time did you get to the rusty pipe thing? I tried to catch up but there was no sign of you.
also i google mapped to mineral mine, which lead me down what i would consider an impassible path, which escalated, first there was a narrow path which was a 20 foot tall birm that had been washed through by water, then as i continued there was a steep drop off with rocks about 4ft in size, so i went around and it was on a nearly 45 degree angle. then after that I came up to this.

We hit that area around 1:45 PM after Reymert and the Sugar Shack. It was on the way back to Cottonwood Canyon.
We actually went down to the same area you were in. I wanted to show the group an open mine shaft that I knew about and a few people went past the 20ft berm with the gate. We didn't go past the first wall of rocks in our trucks, but we walked past that. Neat area... Sorry we missed you. We waited till almost 10:00 before we took off for the mine.

Did you see a big blue Raptor at all? He was doing 40 over everything too.
Looks like a couple of us may benefit from acquiring CB's.
Looks like broken arrow is going to get added to the ToDo list for 15th - 18th. Got to find a couple more trails to hit up around the Mormon Lake area even if they are just scenic fire roads.

The blue 4Runner was doing 40mph too
I think CB's would help out a lot especially when your trail leader passes the turn off for the destination. I have an SWR meter and a couple extra Firestick adjustable antennas if anyone is interested and wants to tune their CB's.
When you say 15th-18th do you mean of May? are you going to overland expo? We're planning on driving up early Saturday morning but would be willing to hang around and even stay the night somewhere to hit some Sedona trails with you - I'm taking my 4th gen V8 that weekend too

I may take you up on that with the CB stuff. Going to get a radio in the next couple of weeks and have a rear antenna mount fab'd. Yeah we miss the turn to the pit mine and ended up at a mountain wall that didn't stop NZDZRT, he went vertical then yelled down to us we went the wrong way, just another example where a CB could of helped.
We are planning on staying up around the expo Friday and Saturday night. Im sure the campgrounds at Mormon lake will be packed so I'm looking around the area for something away from the chaos.
