I believe the first one was 2006. I organized the event the first 3 years. Now the Iowa TLCA club organizes the event. When I organized the event I spread out the word on almost every Toyota or offroading forum. They don't do that now.

Anyone interested in getting out and doing some offroading?? There is an event coming up Nov. 2-3 in Iowa. I might be attending with my 3rd gen 4Runner. See below.

Spotted silver lifted with aftermarket bumper
I was in West Des Moines yesterday and spotted a nice silver limited 4runner with a lift and an after market bumper(looked like a Shrockworks or a CBI, it was hard to tell from the distance i was at). I was on mills civic headed to I35 south. I would have snapped a pic but i was on I35 south ahead of the spotted 4runner, I slowed to see if he'd pass but he ending up taking the off ramp to highway 5. Anyway, just curious if it's anyone on here. It's the first lifted with an aftermarket bumper I've seen in Iowa.

Yeah thats interesting I used to live and work over there and never saw anything. So 4th gen?

Yep, It was definitely you. Its good to see other modded 4runners roaming around in Iowa. You're the first one i've seen that wasn't just stock, I rarely take mine to Des Moines. Its a long trip with gas being so high.

I agree, I rarely see modded 3rd or 4th gen 4Runners around here. Here is one that is close to where you live.(southern Iowa)

haha, yes it is. It was completed in July or August. If you ever go to any events at MIOBI you might see it there. He builds offroad rigs for a living.

yeah, I haven't been off-roading since I moved from colorado 3 years ago. I didn't know there was much more than mudding here in iowa until recently.
