Happy 4th everyone!
I just called up there and reserved a river-side campsite for the weekend. I plan on getting there Friday afternoon, and leave Sunday morning sometime (after another run, probably...if I haven't broken anything, that is).
The park opens at 10 on Saturday, so do you guys want to try and meet at 11:00? That should give the other long-distance guys (if there are others besides me!) time to get there. I'm up for earlier, too, if you guys want, since I'll be there already.
I will PM the guys who've said they're coming with my cell. Let's give each other a buzz that AM via text to make sure we're not waiting on someone who isn't coming, or if you're running late or something.
Anyone else camping? I have site 6, in case it matters. Praying for something less than 95 degrees...ugh...can always jump in the river, I guess!
Let's get some more people on this ride!!!!!!!!
Later,
Jason

Dang man. That blows. Hope you can get it fixed. Would be great if you could join us.
RedDragon- 11:00 is fine with me. I can get there earlier too. I don't know how long we will want to stay, but that will probably be more than enough time.
I'm hoping it won't be raining or too wet. I've read that if it's muddy everything becomes a lot harder.
What are y'all planning on doing for lunch?

11 is good with me too.
Looks like I'll be the only 2wd. I really hope it doesn't rain! Oh well, I'll be there either way.
Lunch...That's a good thought...I guess bring something?

Bring one of your buddies that is 2wd. Ha.
Bringing something is fine with me. I know Laurens and Ware Shoals are both pretty close, but I don't know if you can reenter the park. I also thought about grilling something, but that might be too much work.

I would volunteer to make some lunch, since I'm camping all weekend. Hot dogs, burritos or something along those lines...quick and easy.
Come on SouthEast...I know there's more of you that want to ride this weekend!! I hear The Gulches is a great place!

I would be down for paying you a fee to make lunch, if that's okay with the other guys.
I tried to talk my friend into bringing his 4wd blazer, but he has to work. I have a few other guys to ask.

Yeah man. The more the merrier.
I would also chip in to cover lunch. I could bring some chips or something.
I'm probably gonna bring a cooler with some drinks. It'll probably be hot during the day.
We just got some heavy rain around my area. Hopefully it dries off by Saturday.

I was planning on bringing a cooler too. I could bring something for lunch if needed.
Yeah, that rain last night was BRUTAL! Try being on a golf course when it starts. Let's just say it's not very fun. I think I went faster on that golf cart, on the way back to the club house, than I did on the way home in the 4R. lol

I have everything to replace the seals, and the rear pads. Tomorrow I will find out when it will get done. I'll keep you guys updated.

Well tomorrow may be the day I either replace the seals and brake pads, or just the pads. I was told that it may stop leaking with a new rear breather, but i am skeptical... Hopefully I can replace the seals just to be sure. I hate to say it but I may be a last minute decision if I cant get it done tomorrow.

Gotcha. Was the rear breather clogged up?
At least you have Friday if you don't finish tomorrow.
We got some more rain here tonight. I wonder what it's like down at Gulches.
