Loch Lomond Thurs July 30th
Well, it was looking like it was gonna be really bad weather, but we packed up the kid and I took my in laws, wife and kid up to Loch Lomond.
the trail was still easy and the rain it had gotten kept it from getting dusty, we got a late start and ended up not leaving til about 10 (instead of 7) and then had to go get gas and starbucks.
We got to the trailhead around 11 or so and got up to the lake around 11:30,
I played around on some rocks and got my 4runner almost down to the water and we started setting up for fishing... then it got real dark, started raining and then sleeting! I went into the runner til it quit, got my pole set up and then we fished for another 45 min until it was about 2:30 at which point we called it a day and packed up to head back.
getting out from next to the lake was the most challenging, my wife turns out is a really good spotter and kept me from rolling the runner. The rocks were wet though and I did nail my spare tire/tow hitch after my tire slipped off a rock!
I have a bunch of pics, but the best ones are all still on my wifes camera. Ill post those up later.
next week Argentine Pass! Whos going with?
