It was Jeff, Brad, Riley (sp?), and I today. I was surprised that even with the snow and the 4-6 rating on the trail we were able to make it all the way to the top of the mountain. Storm Drain was closed by the forest service but it looked like they closed it just because some trees had fallen.
Lunch at the top of Storm Mountain
Here's the felled trees. I wonder if it would be a good idea to take a chainsaw up and clear the trees? Maybe the forest service would reopen the trail?
The Location of the blocked trail.
On the way down the snow stopped and we got a better view of where we were. I like how the light makes the clouds pop out.
Some lighting that's unique to places such as Colorado
We crammed 4 of our rigs in parking spaces made for three just for the heck of it. Penelope's is in the background for you Ric. BTW they close at 5PM on Sundays. We got there at 5:45pm
I'm working on the vids now but they won't be finished uploading until tomorrow morning. I love wheeling. Come rain, shine or snow. We're out there!
