07 Sport 4wd V8 (Good Deal???)

Hello all,

Just wondering if this is a good deal on a 1-owner 07 4Runner Sport 120k miles, 4wd, V8. I am coming from a 2000 SR5 which I loved but family circumstances forced me to sell..

I been searching for a few months now and has all my must needs:
-V8
-4wd
-Sport Version
-Great Service History (timing belt replaced at 90k, xreas replaced at 95k, one owner serviced at dealership)
- budget is $15k
-06-09 year

(Has high miles but i know maintenance is crucial)

I am sure others here will tell you the same, but was the timing belt done? Check the XReas suspension to see if it is both functional and not leaking. Other then that I am not sure on the price. I paid alot more for my sport 4WD V8 here in AZ, but in only had 67,000 miles. However the Xreas took a dump at 70,000 miles so I took advantage of the situation to put a better suspension on and level out the truck. So I have some cash in it already and a long payment but plan on keeping it forever...

Seems like a fair price esp. since that's just a starting point. Maintenance on these rigs are intense. It is nothing like your third gen. I bought mine with about 110k miles and have replaced my T-case, rear diff, brake booster, XREAS, and am getting ready to replace my CATS and sunroof motor.

SO do your homework and take your time (they made a million of this gen)...and demand records and obviously the carfax. Chances are, you have a much better rig on your hands than I started with...but you never know.

Edited first post with some details. My 3rd Gen was easy to work on and I am used to high maintenance costs.. (2004 ///M3).. I do want to keep this for a long time and it is in great shape..

Looks like there's a sticker on the radiator cover, could possibly be the timing belt sticker that it was taken care of.

Take a closer look when you're there, but looks like a very clean truck!

I agree with the others. Very clean truck, I'd jump on that. That does appear to be a timing belt service sticker from a Toyota dealer on the radiator cover. I have the same one but they put it on my intake.

Thanks for the replies so far. Sounds like this deal is good. I am just worried about the mileage. I am also going to be looking at the frame for rust, when brakes were replaced, etc... Maybe I can offer them $14k???

There is a nicely done V8 for sale over on toyota120. He's asking a little more than you want to spend but if you can get him down a little it will be worth it.

I just paid $20k for a 73k mile V8, 4x4 Limited. All options except XREAS and self-leveling. Always dealer serviced, etc.

I also had to fly 500 miles away and drive it home.

Well i just test drove the vehicle..
The good:
-exterior and interior seats were really nice condition
-clean carfax
-All buttons worked
-Vehicle was really quiet and had a nice ride
The bad:
-engine light, VSC TRAC, VSC Off lights were on
-slight burnt oil smell from front of radiator
-hole on driver side floor from heel (carpet)

The guy was extremely nice and is going to service the vehicle and call me back next week.
So, the search continues......
