Hi, here is something I caught on Craigslist for sale with nice pictures of a 1987 v8 4Runner:

:amen: I'm with you on that one. The Instagram page that comes up on is a guy who appears to into older Yotas and engine swaps. That doesn't always equate to quality work though. I've seen people REALLY passionate about cars/trucks who should be nowhere near one with tools. Not saying that's the case here, but it could be riddled with problems and rigging.

I see worse junk selling for that much. It's worth a look before jumping to conclusions. BTW, I don't think the guy in that video is the owner. He does have a really nice pickup with a 7M being swapped in, though.

that is a smoking deal. A friend of mine charges about $5k to do a 1UZ swap.

same vehicle, both the craigslist ad and the link you posted show a shot of the VIN..
thinking salvage title but it is a good deal

It looks like the truck has gone from Wisconsin to Queens NY, I wonder if he can't get it registered in NYC.

Yeah I figured as much. He had it for sale on yotatech when I started my 1uz swap. The salvage title would have made if harder to get registered in California along with the swap.

Just the smog carb laws are hard but doable. I just got mines though the process. So it's street legal and register in Cali as a 1989 4Runner 1uz v8

Think I'd sink $5k into a decent 3rd gen instead of maintaining old technology. Swap are squirrely too often. Only for the well initiated to take ownership of such vehicles...
