hoping to find some help on a new weird issues with my 88 t4r 22re. used it as a dd until recently , when it got cold out it stopped starting, when it warms up to 50ish it starts right up. so i decided to keep it in the garage. but now when i drive it (miles and time vary) the check engine light comes on and it runs like crap, major power loss & sometimes it dies. if i let it sit for 15-30 minutes it will restart and eventually have the same issue. with the light off it has all the normal power.
really could use some thoughts on it.
history- new timing chain and basic tuneup parts (cap rotor plugs etc) that was done in october/ november. issue started in late december. might have gotten 15 miles total on it since check engine light issue. compressions are all good, timing seems correct, clean airfilter, no vacuum leaks detected by spraying the top of the engine with wd40. i can hear the fuel pump.
