2005 Blower Motor Replacement Today

Not too difficult. The back screw took some real creativity to remove.

Old motor started chirping a few days ago, getting louder by the day. Truly unbearable.

My research on the forums revealed that the failure mode is worn brushes which sets up a vibration in their pusher springs and their backside plastic and metal anchors.

And like most folks who have done the aftermarket (Autozone) replacement, the new motor does not chirp but does make a slightly annoying whine. Much more tolerable than the 40 baby chirping birds.

The screws required a T20 (or 25?) and/or a 5/16 socket.
