I have run across a 2008 Urban Runner with 37k miles. It's listed for $23,999. Is this a good deal?

I'm going to go out and drive it tomorrow. Pictures make it look flawless. Anyone have experience with those Alcantara seats? Are they hard to keep clean?

it all depends on the car, Is it CPO? Does it have records? Is it 4wd? Is it on the east coast or west? So please provide more info. I am in NorCal and I see dealerships asking astronomical money for the Urban Runners, I have seen one on sale at Capitol Toyota for $36k !!!!! I bought mine for cheaper than that new.
Alcantara seats are awesome. Very easy to clean and you never slip.

i have the same year and model. can't complain about the seats. the tomtom is great but i wish i had the radio that comes stock in the limited. good luck to you! post pics if you get it.
If the dealer is asking that price without any negotiation, then it's too high.
The price the dealer starts with on a used car (like on a window sticker or an ad) is usually about $2000 - $3000 above the wholesale/trade-in value of the car. They intentionally give themselves some room to negotiate.
Check the number against several sources, including Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book, Carmax, and local dealers/ads in your area.

2008 Urbanrunner
I have owned a 2008 Urbanrunner for 1 year and 6 months, I payed about 29k then, I have been offered 25k for trade in here in Denver. I have only 40kmileage now. I have driven it cross country once in the dry, and last week in the snow from Denver to Iowa to see my son. I have not had a lot of time in the snow with it and now I can say I would not give it up for any other truck or anything. That is a great price. I passed 4 cars in 4 wheel high on a icy road and a full size blazer tried to follow me and I say him slide 3 ways and then zoomed of the road into the snow. Man I love my Urbanrunner. I see now the kelly blue book puts my 2008 urbanrunner at 22k for trade in. I was offered 25k for mine 1 wk ago due to my wife wanting a bigger toyota. I passed on it and took the trip and My wife loves my Urbanrunner now. Seeing it in action and the bad weater, she said we should keep it. I am still so impressed on how quite and smooth it is on ruff and dirt roads. I truely love it. Keep it till I die. I hope this helps.

If the interior and exterior are near flawless, it drives to your satisfaction, and you are comfortable in it (make sure you are happy with the headroom). Make sure you give it a very thorough test drive under all normal conditions you drive under - local and highway driving. If you don't take it on the highway, you may miss nuances on how it handles at speed and may need a wheel alignment or balancing or something like that if you get some shaking at higher speeds. It should be rock solid and stable at speed.
I also recommend driving a v8 before buying a v6 if you come across one.
If all this checks out and thats the truck you like, then make it yours.
Offer $20k and end up in the middle or lower. Don't fall in love and be reticent about walking away if they don't go down to $22k or better.
