2015 T4R oil recommendation

Is there a preferred 0W-20 oil recommendation for my T4R? Is synthetic oil preferred over mineral?

Toyota recommends 0w20 synthetic.

Similar engines have slightly different recommendations in different countries with different climates.

America doesn't have one climate.

Make of this what you want, but I doubt it makes a damn bit of a difference.

OH CRAP, I didn't realize I needed a "special" tool to remove the oil filter. Can the filter be removed without a special tool? Looks like getting to the oil filter is kind of a pain in the arse.

Any off the shelf oil of the correct viscosity will work just fine.

You need the tool so you don't damage the housing.

Costco has an excellent 0/20........I use Mo1 and Valvoline 5/20 as well.

Just grab the oil and filter from the dealer and Motivx tool on amazon and save yourself the headache
