I was into the Passport until I saw it doesn't have a shifter -- it has buttons! No thanks

Looks like the AT in some of the larger chassis cab trucks and RVs.

We'll see how this will work for them, history shows that unorthodox gear shifters in cars have resulted in deaths and lawsuits.

Anyone drive one yet? Interested to hear about overall impressions. I only sat in one.......pretty plain vanilla but hey, thats Honda. Simple but very effective.

Well...... they liked the "adaptive cruise control". Other than that, not much else. Hmmm.

Thats the "thing" about reviews. Need to get your butt in the seat yourself and give it a good thorough ride.

From reading their forum, the Passport “updated” 9 speed ZF tranny is still problematic at times. I am surprised that the suspension tuning is so bad.....per MotorTrend. The suspension apparently came from the Ridgeline which won praises.

But, i do trust MT over CNET when it comes to car evaluation. Will see what C&D etc. will say.

Yeah, looks like transmission and on-road handling are not Passport’s strong point vs. other crossovers.

Latest (print) issue of C&D tested the Passport against the Santa Fe,Blazer,Edge,and Murano, the Passport was #1 in the comparison.

Don't really see the need for this between the CRV/HRV/Pilot. Then again I'm not the target market. Any comparisons with the Forester? Those tend to get picked by young families for safety.

Passport is just as safe as Subaru.....and Passport AWD system is BETTER than Subaru. Whether an average customer cares about AWD system or not is another matter.

Fair. Haven't delved into the AWD systems to be honest. Time to clue up!

Oh, that’s the base price for the Passport Elite. The Pilot Elite starts at $48k. I’m just not familiar with the trim levels. Being a Toyota guy, my desires must be way different from those of a Honda buyer.
