2020 TRD Premium with KDSS and sliding cargo deck

I noticed that when trying to config a TRD Premium with KDSS, moonroof and sliding cargo deck it is not available. Do you guys think is is a bug with the site?

If you look at the enclosed screenshot the final item is just KDSS which costs more than the KDSS with the moonroof. Hopefully it is just a mistake.

Did you screenshot him/her the page showing that the slide out cargo deck *could* in fact be added (as long as you didn’t want KDSS)?

To translate dealerese: I don’t have stock on hand with cargo deck, so cargo deck not exist.

It’s like hiding a ball behind your back with a child who’s concrete operational: when they can’t see the ball, they don’t think it exists.

But good news: if you need the cargo deck, I’ve got a great deal on a 2019; come on in so we can talk turkey on this beaut!

The singular thing they live to do is sell stock on hand. And sell it today. Trying to get through to them with any other objective? You might as well be speaking Swahili. And you’re cutting into their potential to move a Camry.

Better yet, he’ll tell you that the cargo deck and KDSS are incompatible.

Here was my first reply to explain my situation and motivate him:

As far as must have, kinda. I was reading on the forums that usually when a new vehicle is released a lot of the times the configurators are quite inaccurate at first. So I may just wait a little bit and see what happens. My biggest fear is that I purchase one with everything I want except for the sliding cargo deck and the next month they allow you to add it. In a perfect world I would get a 2020 Super White 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium with KDSS, Moonroof, Sliding Cargo Deck with Matte Black TRD rims and LED fog lights.

If I have time I will check with a few other dealers to see if they have any additional info.

Anyway, thanks for checking and if the options change please let me know.

2020 TRD Premium with KDSS and rear sliding cargo deck

This configuration is extremely difficult to find. I’m short and need the cargo deck. I found a knowledgeable dealership, and have used the same online salesman for my last 4Runner and the current one. I’m picking it up next week. I wanted white with moonroof, KDSS, and the rear sliding cargo deck. I learned that Toyota dealers can request a configuration from Toyota but it can be rejected. My request was rejected. In the last 2 months, my Toyota sales person has found only 2 - both silver - the first was scooped up by someone else. My guy stayed vigilant and found one 200 miles away. He was able to have that dealership transfer it for me. It’s possible to find one if you have a good salesman you work with.

Everything else I want, like grey TRD wheels, remote engine start, and running boards, can be added.

Isn't the sliding rear deck a port-installed option? Just find a dealer willing to get you one with the moonroof and kdss and drive it to the port to have the deck installed.

I know that sounds insane, but that's what my dealer here in Jacksonville offered to do. I wanted the LED illumination package on my TRDP, but it wasn't on the build sheet from the factory. So somehow they just made arrangements at the port to have it installed. The car came off the boat and they had to install the new wheels, the roof rack, etc. anyway, so they just gave them something extra to throw in. Simple.

Since you're in San Diego, see if one of the dealers is willing to make that happen. Surely there are loads of cars that come into that port with the options you want (without the deck). The configurator online doesn't matter. Hell, it doesn't even really matter that it leaves the factory with it. Just have it port-installed.

Yuuuup I let those ****ers tell me they only sell KDSS ONLY trucks in arizona. But, because I was like a giddy little man child I didn't think twice.

Not that kdss is bad. But, for me it's a luxury/hassle I could live without.

Also the slide out tray might have been nice.
