2nd gen transmission swap

i have a 94 with 3.0 and a340h auto trans...i have access to a 95 with a 3.0 mated to an r150f and all of the necessary parts to do the swap but i have a few questions.


I know i'll need trans/transfer case, drive shafts, flywheel, clutch parts etc (all the obvious parts). What about the computer and harness? I think I have gathered that i can get by with either?.? I ask cause the computer for the manual runner has been left exposed to the elements and i want to know what to expect if it has problems.

Did I see somewhere that there may be a difference between auto and manual transfer case on which side the front drive shaft drops on?

You should be able to keep the same ECM. You just may need to bypass the Neutral safety switch. If you GOOGLE you'll find plenty of info on Toyota truck auto/manual swaps. Most will probably be for the 4 cyl instead of the V6, but the basics are the same. The t-case's are different between auto and manual, but the output is on the same side. It's the 3.4 trans/t-case that changes to drivers side drop.
