3rd Gen Mpg's with 4.88's & 33's vs 35's

Are you auto or 5 speed?

Auto. I should mention I am supercharged with meth injection and a 2.2 inch pulley. Thorley headers, URD fuel kit with 318cc injectors....so my MPG is with premium. Maybe that isn't apples to apples :tape:

just installed mine its great i also installed a indication light the would light up when its actually engaged so you know its super easy to do also

Doesn't your switch (the one included with the harness) light up when it's engaged? That's what mine does.

no its just lights up when you run the headlights on engaged or not

would you recommend 4.88s with 33s? I have 4.30s rn but idk how it will perform off road when I put on 33's. The truck sees a lot of dirt so having proper functioning 4-lo gearing is a must

Of coarse running 4:88 would be ideal. But offroad I dont think you will have any issue. I wheel my 33's on 4:10's with zero issues. Its on road that I feel it being a dog.

45 mph @ 1700 rpm
55 mph @ 2000 rpm
65 mph @ 2400 rpm
75 mph @ 2750/2800 rpm

2002 4R Auto, 4.88's, and 35/12.50r17 Toyo RT.

45 mph @1600
55 mph @ 1875
65 mph @ 2125
75 mph @ 2650

So noticeable reduction in Rpm's when comparing numbers, not so much in the truck. Tanks will tell what the economy is like. It is a bit slower off the line, but from 60-90 it feels the same.
