Looking to get rid of the stock hitch and bumper for clearance and aesthetic reasons. I tow with my 4Runner quite frequently though, looking to keep that capability. I was wondering if anyone has ever found an off the shelf hitch that can be slid into the end of the frame rails in and installed with some mounting modifications. I'm looking to get a rated hitch that I can trust without a bunch of fabrication while also improving departure angle. I would also like to build a bumper around the hitch at some point. It sounds like 4X Innovations figured something out since his bumper has "an integrated DOT rated receiver hitch". He gives no further details than that understandably. Just looking at options without breaking the bank on a completely custom bumper. I couldn't find any information about this, not sure if anyone has ever done it. Thanks for your help!
