3rd gen problems after valve cover gasket replacement

Today I finally decided to change my valve cover gaskets on my 97 4runner at 200k. Followed the write ups step by step and it wasn't that difficult. I also decided to spray some throttle body cleaner in the throttle body and also maf cleaner to clean the maf sensor.

When I went to start it, it took a long time to start up and then once it started it sounded like crap and has a rough idle and hesitates while driving.

Cliff notes of problems:
-Hard time starting
-Loud crunch sound for first half second when it starts
-Rough idle, idles around 1100
-Turn on AC and it almost stalls for second
-Bad hesitation while driving

I'm hoping its just the maf sensor acting up. I may not have let it dry all the way or something. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Also I sprayed carb cleaner all around the intake and manifold to see if there were any leaks and there were none..

Also CEL is on but its too late to get it checked tonight

I would double- and triple-check to make sure you got all of your connections back together. You might have one (or more) that isn't making a good connection.

Welp I figured out the problem.. Had the spark plug wires/ coils mixed up for cyl 3 and 5 like a friggin idiot. Hopefully it didn't mess up anything.
