3rd Generation Sport Edition Skid Plate for 4th Gen

I am looking to get one of those front skid plates for my 2003 SR5, like the ones the older sport edition or highlander editions have. I am curious as to which years and models (do Tacomas have those too?) have these plates. I think I could most likely go find one here in town at a salvage yard - if they aren't too rare to find. Any help?

if youre talking about the silver one that fits right under the bumper, you will probably have to find one in a junkyard. Ebay has them every once in a while as well as this forum. Theyve been discontinued since about 2008 and get harder to find in decent shape with the brackets..

this place may still have em for the taco which can be modified to fit the 4r. 2003 - 2004 Tacoma SKID PLATE Part Number PT212-35040

I got mine from taco forum and I just made a bracket for it to fit my t4r courtesy of DIY of well respected member here..momo.. It gave the front end the complete look i was looking for

yeah that's the one. Do you know the official title Toyota gave that piece?

Not exactly sure. The hard part is getting the brackets and rivnuts to hold it on. The holes in the frame are only threaded for two bolts. 4 hold the brackets on, so the other two holes have to have the rivnuts in them. I got mine from McMaster Carr. I may have the part number. The actual plate is the same I believe for the taco, 4runner, and tundra.
