Hi guys
I'm new to petrol (gasoline) engines. I bought a 2.7 3rd Gen which I'm in the process of restoring. It ran OK before, but the idle was rather erratic. I've replaced the ISCV which was some Chinese junk, for an OEM one.
I just wanted to check if anyone can see a problem with the throttle stops. They seem really close together, the throttle crank only moves about half a millimetre when the vacuum plunger on the right of the picture retracts (which I guess is an idle down controlled by the ISCV).
The yellow marking paint has mostly flaked off, but seems to remain in the threads suggesting this is the factory setting, but it seems weird to have such a tiny difference between the two.
Thanks!
