4wd maintanence

my 96 4runner has a loud pop when i dissangage from 4hi, truck is moving slowly.

need help locating what parts i need to inspect and such.

When was the last time you greased the zerks?

are there zerks on drivetrain components besides joints

They all make a certain amount of sound going in/out of 4wd. Just how 'loud' is yours? a vid/audio would help here. Mine makes more noise going out rather than into 4wd.

Changed the diffs and transfer case fluids?

Does it engage easily? Meaning going forward slowly? :cowboy:

Big clank sound but im going to try coasting and check levels too

How are your tires? A clunk like that can very easily be caused by binding in the driveline caused by unevenly worn tires.

Take it to a low traction surface like sand and see if it still does it. If not, I'd start shopping for tires.
