This shooting occurred yesterday in Orange County, and while the deaths of all the victims are tragic, one death in particular really struck me personally. David Caouette was evidently the off road trail consultant for Mission Viejo Land Rover. I know we're all Toyota folks here but I found his story particularly sad since we shared the same hobby and while all the other victims were killed inside a hair salon he was evidently shot down outside in the parking lot behind the wheel of his beloved Discovery. I didn't know him personally but I wanted to share the story here. Mission Viejo Land Rover has put up a tribute site and from looking at the pictures he was the kind of helpful guy you're always so stoked to meet up with out on the trail, especially when you've got a problem.
