Add a paper gasket to coolant by-pass tube?

Found a pool of coolant poring from the bell-housing area and dig into the source and found the coolant by-pass tube (heater core return to water pump) to engine block was the culprit!

It does not come with a proper gasket except FIPG. With some cavities I feel like adding a paper gasket with FIPG on both sides. Would like to hear your view.

I wouldn't have any problem using a paper gasket with a very thin film of FIPG on each side.
Actually it's probably the only way I'd do it.

I think that is sealed with an o-ring. If so o-ring plus some fipg would work.

Yeah, if there's an O-ring a paper gasket shouldn't be necessary.
