Aftermarket Rear Bump Stops for LT

Anyone on here have any opinions??

The only ones I can find are Timbrens. Correct me if I'm wrong but these look huge. Would I still need to use the drop bracket that Metal Tech makes?

The next closest ones I could find were for a Tacoma on Wheelers website:

I just have a strong suspicion that mine are super rusty (the brackets) and will end up destroying the bump stops in the process of dropping them when we go to install the Long travel setup.

I use the Timbren Active bump stops

These: Active Off-Road Bumpstops ? Timbren Industries Inc. Suspension Products

They are much taller than the OEM stops, however they are also much more compliant.

The first 50-60% of their "squish" is pretty soft to cushion any bottoming out.

The point at which they actually fully bottom out is probably an inch or two lower than stock. I had an extra set of sway bar drop spacers that I installed between the Timbren flanges and the frame just to push them down a little bit further.

They're meant to be OEM replacements so if you're running a long travel setup and you really need to limit shock compression because of it, you'll likely still need a spacer.

Wheelers is also working on their own bolt on superbump kit for 4th gen 4runner rear. No expected release date yet, and when asked yesterday said they were still testing.

Sorry for bumping the old thread but I had to say Thanks Sam!! Great Tip!! This thing was like a pogo stick before. Gained an 1.25" taking off the Super Bump mounting bracket. I might have just a hair more "up" left but that will be another day of cycling and fab work on a new extension. Fun starts at about 1:45 in on the video.
